Every year, HUD will conduct an inspection of the apartment. This is required for them to remain on the Section-8 program. Since they are paying a portion of the rent, they will want to make sure that the apartment is in livable condition. If it is not, and the problem will no get resolved, Section-8 will terminate paying their portion of the rent. I will make myself available for the inspection, so I will be able to recognize any issues that the inspector found. If there are any damages beyond normal wear and tear, I will hold the tenant responsible for the damage.
